Search engines like Google frown upon keyword flooding because it deteriorates the quality of the content and it won’t look good. The numerous algorithmic changes to Google has forced  Internet marketers to adjust the frequency of keyword usage, so it doesn’t appear SPAMMY.

2.) Don’t plagiarize – Google is a smart search engine. It is able to pick up pieces of content within seconds after entering a particular  key-phrase.

Plagiarizing content is something that is also frowned upon by search engines and Internet marketers because it’s like cheating your  way to the top. With a new algorithm in place to filter out sites with duplicate or spun content, bloggers cannot fool Google just by spinning a few words.

3.) Don’t hide or pay for links – Hiding your links in other websites, or rather paying them to secretly post your links, is a big NO-NO. A few marketers have reported that Google will be rolling in an algorithmic change that will target these paid links and punish the link owners and websites in an effort to regulate link-building.

Why should you avoid doing this? You are running a blog for your business and blogs serve as an online persona or reflection of a business. If you are doing activities that are frowned upon by Google and Internet marketers, what would you customers think of you? Of course, they wouldn’t know that what you did to optimize your site was bad, but Google does.

Worst case scenario, your blog will be sandboxed, which roughly translates to being thrown thousands of SERPs pages down and you will not be able to optimize anymore. Blogging is a powerful marketing tool. Don’t abuse it.
